Welding Fabrication & Robotic Welding Services
Hafendorfer Machine, Inc. is staffed with experienced welders and fabricators, ready to handle your welding needs—from precision sheet metal assemblies to structural welding and fabrication projects.
We offer a full range of welding capabilities, including MIG, TIG, and resistance spot welding, allowing us to match the right process to your material, application, and production requirements.
With robotic welding, we can provide excellent consistency and repeatability, plus significant cost savings and higher accuracy for longer runs.

Metal Inert Gas (MIG Welding)
This welding fabrication type is our most widely used type of welding for fusing mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Our MOTOMAN ROBOTIC MIG welder combined with our expert certified welders provide excellent consistency, repeatability, and cost savings for longer runs and higher accuracy. The traditional name for this process was the Gas Metal Arc Welding process, (GMAW). Today is it commonly referred to a MIG welding.

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG Welding)
The traditional name for this process was the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding process, (GTAW). Today is it commonly referred to a TIG welding. This is best for welding thick sections of stainless steel or non-ferrous metals. Typically, this process is more time consuming and more complex than MIG welding, but it is also more precise, and much cleaner. Our certified welders have the expertise to carry out high-quality work with a superior standard on virtually any type of metal.
Resistance Spot Welding (RSW)
This process of welding fabrication is best for flush, fastener free assembly of sheet metal parts. Spot welding can occur & milliseconds, making it easier to produce reliable welds between sheet metal or wire mesh.
WELDING MATERIALS
- Aluminum:Â Aluminum is ideal for welding because it is soft, lightweight, and easily formed. TIG welding is a viable option for aluminum because it is easier to weld thinner gauges of materials, and it gives a cleaner look.
- Mild Steel:Â Mild steel is often referred to as Carbon Manganese, or simply carbon steel. It is the least expensive material, and so it is used in a wide range of industries from pipelines to cookware. It is hard, durable, and has outstanding structural strength. Mild steel has a low-carbon content, and is easier to weld than stainless steel.
- Stainless Steel:Â Stainless steel is typically easy to weld, but difficult to stay flat. That is why we use state of the art technology to weld quickly and precisely to minimize the heat input.

Machinery For Robotic Welding
Hafendorfer welding processes utilize innovative robotic welding with the first 7-axis robotic welding arm from Yaskawa Motoman. This patented multiple robot control features integrated through-the-arm cabling for improved welding accuracy, improved torch access, and reduced downtime. This 7-axis welding arm is built on the foundation of the MA-series arc-welding arm, which is a patented design featuring extended-reach and a unique “elbow” axis to enable arc welding around tall parts or into boxy parts.
The TruArc Weld 1000 is helping us take our welding capabilities to the next levels.
